Discover the Venice
you don't expect.

Since 1516, in the heart of Venice,
Europe's first Ghetto preserves its original urban structure
and guards a unique heritage of history, art, and culture.

About

Since 1516, the Venice Ghetto has been a meeting place for Italian, Ashkenazi, Sephardic, and Levantine Jews. Four souls, synagogues, and diverse traditions that turned separation into a centuries-old laboratory of culture, trade, and beauty.

Today, MEV invites you to explore it through a contemporary exhibition pathway, offering new experiences among the synagogues and spaces of the Ghetto.
